What Monday’s Were Made For | Fresh espresso, dark chocolate and time to page through the beautiful 2nd volume of @slowdrivemag entitled ‘Solitude and Companionship’. A cross between a coffee table book and a high quality magazine, it made me realize how seldom we print photography nowadays – and what a rare pleasure it is to discover something curated with such pure passion and authenticity. The launch happened over the weekend in Stellenbosch, an intimate celebration replete with loadshedding and local musicians, Sybrand Strauss and Louis Kuhn putting on a rather rustically romantic candlelit acoustic performance. I encourage you to check out #MySlowDrive & it’s lovely editors: @gtmarais & @nadia_safaria – Skye Leask

A massive shoutout to @gtmarais @nadia_safaria @slowdrivemag on an inspiring Vol 2. Incredible stories and makes me even more excited about contributing to Vol 1. Great things lie ahead guys – Pieter Fabricius

I remember, as a kid, my mom teaching me how to wrap a proper present… keeping the corners crisp & even, getting the ribbon in the right place… all those little things that i think a lot of people maybe don’t notice. I love it still & have a true appreciation for those things. So when I saw the care with which this was packaged, I had to take a pic :) I’ve been so excited for this to arrive & here it is, all the way from South Africa…. – Julie Hueffed

So humbled and honoured to be a part of this incredible magazine. I’ve had stuff printed all over the world and am grateful every time someone thinks my words are good enough to immortalise. But I feel so blessed to have my words share these pages with the inspirational images of Romain Juchereau in this beautiful publication. Just landed on my doorstep all the way from ZA… – Thomas Leitch

Lovely (modern | fresh | etc) new travel mag from South Africa called @slowdrivemag with a nice site too: http://slowdrive.co.za/ – Craig Baxter

Got my copy of the beautiful @slowdrivemag. A mid week beach break seemed the best way to indulge in the travel stories and pictures inside. Lovely to read long, reflective pieces rather than 10 reasons why’s. – Adel Groenewald

Slow Drive Magazine is a local and it’s lekker (nice). They have several contributors who send in breathtakingly beautiful pictures from all over the world. It is top quality, inspirational for any photographers/people who love to travel. Plus it’s the perfect coffee table book. One magazine goes for R150, and it’s well worth it, plus the staff are super friendly, isn’t that always the best. – LeChelle Taylor

Congratulations to the team @slowdrivemag for producing a BEAUTIFUL travel magazine! The whole office wants a subscription. – Whiskey & Wanderlust

Introduced the little fella to some of my work earlier, congratulations @slowdrivemag for a brilliant magazine. – Karl Mackie

Today I met up with Nadia as I was desperate to get my hands on a copy. This publication is gorgeous. Seriously gorgeous. The vision & energy that went into this piece will ensure there’s a demand for a 2nd volume. You can sign me up now. – Troy Squires

In December @gtmarais (with a great team) enriched our lives with the first volume of @slowdrivemag. An authentic publication with stories about being on the open road, finding adventure, and the desire for exploration. I’m super excited to be included as a contributor. Congrats again homie, too cool. – Peter Fabricius
